Morning Free Association: One Weekend to Go

This weekend the B’s will play in their 11th back-to-back of the season with two more to go in March. Are you excited? Perhaps you’ll be more psyched for the start times: tonight in Calgary at 8:30pm and tomorrow in Vancouver at 10pm. Western Canada road swings are so much fun for the insomniacs!

We also have one more weekend to go for trading, with the trade deadline officially at 3pm EST. I’ll be happy when it’s over because 1) we’ll know what team we have and 2) I am so sick of fake rumors. Yesterday, I heard of a possible trade for Palmieri involving Danton Heinen and the Bruins’ 2020 first-round pick. It sounds like an incomplete deal considering Palmieri has term, not to mention that the cap situation next season could already use some relief. It turns out that the rumor came from My NHL Rumors, which is not a reputable source.

Just get the Palmieri or “insert name here (not Kreider)” deal done, Donny.

Morning all. Let’s do that thing where the Bruins keep winning because I like that.

Hey Y’all!
If the Sweenius does nothing it’s cool with me….. Paul Newman said it best in the movie –sometimes nothin’ is a real cool hand.

Let’s see, “sometimes the best trade is the one you never make.” There are a couple more, but you get the drift.
Friday! !!! I’m taking a nap mid afternoon so I can watch the game!!!

Yeah, they’re a pretty decent team as it is. Can always get better though (if the price is right!)

10pm for you is 3am here. Even the Bruins won’t get me up at that time!

My favorite was still the Red Sox/Dodgers World Series game that went into super mega ultra extra innings. Woke up for my early Saturday work shift and baseball was still happening!

Ha! Yeah, I think I remember hearing about that one. You’ve got to love a sporting event that, in theory, might never end! Like in tennis matches when they don’t play tie breakers in the final set.

Probably better than the lights just going out and the game having to be replayed.
