Tonight the Boston Bruins will play in Sunrise, Florida against the Florida Panthers. In the contests between these two teams, Florida has bested the Bruin each of the two times, once coming from 4 goals behind to win 5-4 in the shootout. (I was at that game and it hurt.) The bright side is that the B’s can correct the series by winning the two games they play against them this month, starting tonight.

The Bruins players must love having these trips to Florida and later on the the West Coast (18th-21st) so the boys who spend their days and most nights in ice rinks can enjoy the sunshine in warmer climes.

Brad Marchand took the day off from what turned out to be a short practice so he could recuperate from his illness. Head coach Bruce Cassidy said wanted to have a short practice so the boys could enjoy some sunshine.

He also joked that he wouldn’t yell at Joakim Nordstrom since he now knows that he can fight.

Jaroslav Halak will be in net tonight and it’s likely the lines will be the same as they have been the last couple of games.

I saw 72 on Bobroski… I thought Frankie V was in net!!? I thought they weren’t messing with the emergency goalie thing.

I’m guessing that Frankie V is just about the last guy any NHL team would put in net.

Hi guys.

Could they send some of that sunshine my way? It’s passing rain here and I’m home waiting for a new washing machine to be delivered, after our old one broke the other day.

Fancy Cats have lost seven straight at home! (Famous last words)

Oh I know the problem – the waste pipe is clogged. Unfortunately this machine seems to have been specifically designed so that it can’t be replaced without specialist tools!
