Last night’s game was many things but a barn-burner it was not. For much of the game, there was no goal-scoring action with the scores by Mackenzie Weegar and Patrice Bergeron (30!) on the power play coming in the middle frame.

And the Bruins looked especially lackluster after the first period in which they took 12 shots by only tallying 5 and 7 in the following two periods. Not great.

However, the moment that I got stuck on and will continue to be stuck on for some times is the MY BOYEST OF BOYS WAS INTENTIONALLY ELBOWED IN THE FACE BY SOME ASSHOLE AND HE WAS KNOCKED OUT OF THE GAME.

He has an upper body injury for which he will be further evaluated.

Evgeni Dadonov was penalized for a hit, first as a minor penalty, then as a major so that it could be reviewed, then bumped it back down to a two-minute minor. It should have been a major and he should have been tossed into the garbage.

Anyway, the B’s D had to platoon to make up for the missing Carlo.

A funny thing happened in the third period when former Bruin, Frank Vatrano, went to the box for an obvious slashing call. While he was in there, Charlie Coyle also was penalized, making it a 4-on-4 for some time. As Vatrano exited the box but before he could get both skates on the ice, he played the puck or as I like to call it “Did a Dougie”.

So, he went back in.

At that point the game got a little goofy before it returned to a tense back-and-forth which required overtime.

It’s okay, we have Torey Krug.

IW yelled at the TV screen, “Pay that man 8 million dollars!”

Yeah, do it now.

Bruins win 2-1 and remain 9 points ahead of the Bolts in the Atlantic.

Hi all.

Just finished the game.

A horrible and clearly deliberate elbow. Hope it’s not too serious.

I was exhausted last night and went to bed at 11, but then woke up an hour before my alarm so I decided to start watching the game at 6.30 this morning! It was quite nice having so much free time in the morning, actually – I might set my alarm earlier from now on!

I love early morning free time!!! Sometimes I read. Sometimes I sit outside with my coffee (amount of bourbon in a predictable proportion to the weather!). No harmonica that early… Jo would leave me!!!!

Early more free time is the best! It keeps me sane!

Hey!!!
Yes, that game got pretty goofy for awhile. That elbow ouch. Wouldn’t be surprised if Carlo’s nose is broken. Hello, DOPS??? Can I make a citizen’s arrest?
Jeremy Lauzon really stepped up after Carlo went down. So glad that kid stayed in Boston at the deadline.
How much does Krug want??? He’s certainly a valuable asset, but is he MacAvoy or Carlo?? Ehhhhh, no. Hopefully, he wants to stay put. The Bruins have a lot of depth at D, but a player like Krug is not easily replaced (although Grizz and Clifton are willing to try!).

Morning all. I had a dream last night I got donuts. I was very sad when I woke up this morning and had no donuts.

Winning is fun. I still like when the Bruins do that.

I hate that Krug is asking for a comparatively absurd amount of money

Yeah.
But Krug has been pretty clutch this year, and he seems kinda antsy about his contract, so do it.
