NESN has been replaying the Stanley Cup win by the 2010-2011 Bruins team while having a member of that team take over the Bruins Twitter account, commenting on the game in real time and answering some Bruins fans’ questions. This week, they started airing the Final series against the Canucks. Last night, it was game 3, the game in which it all turned around.
Fittingly, it was former defenseman Andrew Ference chatting it up from his special Bruins room in his home in Edmonton. Ference is easily the most social media savvy former Bruin, tweeting videos of himself celebrating each goal in unique ways.
This was him celebrating his scoring the first goal of the night. 1-0.

The best broken stick in the history of the Stanley Cup Final! Whoops. That’s awesome. The best feeling in the world. Especially when you’re at the point, you know it’s going in. ^AF@NESN | #WatchWithABruin

He also added who he would like to quarantine with from that team. I think we can all agree with his choice.
Bergy. He would teach me so many interesting things. ^AF@NESN | #WatchWithABruin https://t.co/Oj0YjLA70W

Ference had a lot of fun re-watching the game. And he’ll always feel like he’s part of Boston because of that series.
I think every guy on that team felt adopted by this city. We all felt like true Bostonians. Thanks for being proud of us and adopting us as your own. We'll all feel like that for the rest of our lives. ^AF@NESN | #WatchWithABruin pic.twitter.com/dNMx3xeow8

I have been enjoying the Cup run replay. Not for everyone, i know, but check this out – my brother has been watching replays of NASCAR races. Old Daytona 500s and the like….. to each his own, as the man said when he kissed the cow’s tail.
Watched most of it – unfortunately, my favorite show comes on in the middle, so I flipped over and missed roughly the 2nd period. The game was already out of hand when I tuned back in. But I did get to see the 3rd period train of guys-who-don’t-score-goals scoring all kinds of goals.
Show all the Tuukka-haters that period of hockey to see what a real goaltender collapse looks like!
Morning all. I was at Game 3. Fun times. Definitely became one big party. My favorite moment was heading back to my seat after grabbing a beer. Was walking through the concourse. A guy in a wheel chair was coming in the other direction. We didn’t say a word, just high fived.
Hiya. Happy Friday. If it’s Friday.
Had a sports quiz with workmates via Google Hangouts last night (Zoom having been banned on our work computers). I came last, but there was only one question about hockey and one about motor racing so I was always going to be up against it!
Actually done a bit of work today! One of Sonia’s jobs is for a charity that helps kids in eastern Europe. I helped put together an application for funds from a charitable trust. Unpaid of course- I’m not allowed to do any work under furlough…
Has Zoom been banned due to all the security issues?
Yeah, that’s what they’re saying. Still got it on our other computer. They’re not going to learn much from MY personal data!
Oh I know. Here’s a hockey podcast if you’d like, you bastards.
Thankfully we have it set up so you have to know the meeting ID and the password. I don’t know either or those myself, so good luck dummies!
Good Morning and woo hoo!
Loving the Darth Quaider tee shirt, Andrew!! Lots of great stuff in that game!!
How many days have i been quarantined now? Probably about a million. Actually had to work the last two days, and today looks like more work. What the hell? It’s all landscaping and gardening, so that’s fine. Warmer weather would make it better.
Chatted with my carpenter yesterday. He’s a goalie and is losing his mind without hockey. We might have to play street hockey next time i go north!
I think Sonia’s doing more work now than before the lockdown! Certainly longer hours.
