Days away from the NHL entering Phase 3 of it’s reopening plan, a step that involves training camps full of skaters, players around the NHL are enjoying the rest of their time off by doing things that they probably shouldn’t do. Like going to bars and going to the beach without their masks.
Several of the younger Bruins congregated on Cape Cod to celebrate the 4th of July. And none of them were wearing masks.
If these dummies test positive in the next two weeks…
As my German friends say, fingers pressed that they don’t.
Anyway, some Bruins weren’t doing dumb things this weekend:
Eleven years? How old are they? Anyway, mazel tov!
Edmonton is going to host the Conference Finals and the Stanley Cup Final according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie.
The NHL and the NHLPA are almost finished with the CBA details and the a Memo of Understanding that will allow teams to move ahead with training camps and eventually resuming play.
One thing that won’t be required in the bubbles: suits. Players will have no restrictions on clothing. This might be the most interesting part of the whole thing. I wonder what Pasta will put together.
NHL teams will have no dress code in effect during Phase 4.
Finally, @ShawnMcKenzieSN gets his wish and he won’t be able to see what threads players choose when not required to wear a suit to games.
