Game Day Thread: Playoff game 3 – Bruins “@” Canes

BruinsVsWhalerCanes

The Bruins are “visiting” the Carolina Hurricanes today, and all’s good, right?
Right?

Welcome to the actual playoffs.

The first game was delayed first by COVID and again by a quadruple-overtime QUINTUPLE-OVERTIME game on the same ice between the Bolts & the Blue Jackets, so the game naturally had to go to double overtime before the Bruins would pop in the winning goal.
WOOO-HOOO!!!! A playoff win!

Then in the 2nd game of the — now a back-to-back — forward David Pastrnak was listed as “unfit to play”, and was sitting in the stands with a COVID mask. It is likely he pulled an abdominal muscle. This pulled Karson Kuhlman into the lineup, and flipped Anders Bjork into the top line and David Krejci onto the first powerplay unit. The latter worked out ok, with Krejci scoring on the power play.
Unfortunately, the Bruins could not maintain the lead, going down by 1. They got pinned in the defensive zone for much of the 2nd half of the game, and lost.

The series is now tied 1-1.

What will be the lines today?
Well, we’re assuming that Pasta is still out, but with that, the lineup should be the same as game two, right?

Wrong.

Tuukka is bailing out on the COVID bubble and therefore the playoffs.

The father of 3 has possibly not been completely dialed in to the playoffs, commenting that the fanless games felt like exhibition matches, and is more concerned with being with his family, including his newborn daughter. He told Dale Arnold that he had to attend to a family emergency.
Fortunately, Jaroslav Halak has been really good this season, so it might not be a huge loss, but it is certainly an emotional blow.

On other adjustments, Nick Ritchie has been pulled, pushing Sean Kuraly to the 3rd line, and pulling Par Lindholm into the lineup. Jack Studnika is up in lieu of Karson Kuhlman.
