One should never quite count the Bruins out, even when they’re down 2 goals and they look like they’d rather be working on their golf or tennis games. Or in the case of Charlie Coyle, his baseball game.
Charlie Coyle started out centering the third line but was moved up to the first line after the first because Anders Bjork was ineffective. Bruce likes to shake things up early.
Have the Bruins finally turned a corner? Maybe. After playing 47 minutes without a goal in this game and being down by 2 goals, the Bruins assaulted the Pancakes with 4 goals in 6:51 of game time.
First up, Jake DeBrusk:

Then, Connor Clifton with assistance from the fourth line:

Then Brad Marchand off an excellent bank shot by Torey Krug:

I love the big hug with Krug right after.
And finally, an encore from Jake DeBrusk.
The Bruins are pouring it on.

The second line of DeBrusk, David Krejci, and Ondrej Kase continues to build chemistry. It really clicks well at times. Krejci leads the team in postseason points (7) and now has surpassed Patrice Bergeron in all-time postseason points for second behind Ray Bourque.
Carolina clawed back within 1 after going empty net. The Bruins were able to hold off a tying score to take the 3-1 series advantage.
Game 5 is Wednesday afternoon at 4pm on NESN and NBCSN.
Howdy, very satisfying win last night.
-What a beautiful clean hit by Mac. Wow
-All 4 goals were so beautiful and nice
-Halak has let him some goals I’d like him to have but I think he is playing fine, people who say he’s sucked need to mellow out, we expected a drop off and Rask wasn’t sharp either in the bubble so lets chill out
-A deserved statement win. Played even all game even though it was 2-0 Canes, then we put on a clinic in the 3rd. what dominance. Difference between an young bright team with young talent and a consistent playoff contender
GO BRUINS!!!!!
I want that hit framed on my wall
I need a big screen gif of that hit… playing 24/7
Hey Muffin! I hope all is well!
Good to see you checking in!
Eh, Halak let in a couple of manageable shots out of what, 8 shots total (by that time)? He had a few good stops, but that was not a good outing last night. If his backup had any actual NHL experience, we might have seen him in the 3rd period.
Jaro probably only played 2-3 periods of competitive hockey before Tuukka bailed, so he’s obviously a work in progress, but it wasn’t close to his typical performances. Game 3 – outside of that one big WTF gaffe – was much better.
No need to panic yet, but the Bruins are lucky to be playing an opponent that isn’t a top-4 team. I don’t see them strangling Tampa’s SOG count or potting 4 in a row on the Caps. They need Halak to play more like his 2019-20 self if/when they get to the next round
Morning all. Have a Zoom meeting with a rep from our parent company this afternoon so I have to wear real clothes for an hour.

I keep a collared shirt and hair ties hanging in my home office for such occasions.
There’s my twin!
Hey! I don’t post much on here anymore. I just got out of the habit years ago when I worked at a grocery store. I’m back in an office, but now I waste my time on twitter! @nickbadgio
I could be super professional and wear my Keep it Gritty hoodie.
You should have a cardboard cutout that you stick your head through… All comfort behind the scene!
When the B’s came out in the 3rd, I didn’t see them playing with the energy needed to make up the deficit, but man that first DeBrusk goal got them going. Probably rattled Reimer as well. A great end to a game that was drifting away.
Good Morning!!!!
And it is a good morning. Wow! The Bruins finally arrived on Jake’s beauty, then that hit by MacAvoy. Charlie was in motion toward Staal before Staal took possession of the puck…. Great anticipation and Staal was screwed, looking up just in time to see the taillights on the truck that backed over him. And Cliffy Hockey… you just gotta love Cliffy Hockey. And…. well, i could go on and on (as I’m known to do). How ’bout we just don’t talk about Jaro this morning… (I know he’ll be better Wednesday)
Woo hoo!!!
London Bear, you missed a dandy!
I yelled “He got Kronwalled!!” live at the TV when it happened. A textbook lineup hit!
Yes sir!!
