The Bruins are “on the road” playing the Tampa Bay Lightning at their usual Scotiabank Arena, for the first game of a new playoff series.
Welcome to playoff round 2.
In round 1, the first game was delayed by a QUINTUPLE-OVERTIME game on the same ice between the Bolts & the Blue Jackets. The Bruins would win their own game in double-overtime, but David Pastrnak would injure himself, missing the next 3 games.
Karson Kuhlman, Jack Studnicka and Par Lindholm would get time on the roster, and Nick Ritchie would rotate out. Anders Bjork and Charlie Coyle would each get time on the top forward line in Pasta’s absence.
After game 2, Tuukka Rask opted out of the playoff bubble, citing a family emergency. The Bruins — with Jaro Halak in net and Dan Vladar on bench door duty — would win games 3, 4 & 5, sending the Carolina Hurricanes packing.
What will be the lines today?
David Pastrnak is still back, Tuukka Rask is still gone.
Nick Ritchie will rotate back in, restoring the Ritchie-Coyle-Bjork line that started this postseason.
