It’s official Autumn by nearly 24 hours now. At this point in the calendar year, we would be preparing for the upcoming hockey season beginning in the early days of October. Right now, training camps would still be open with the teams breaking out into groups to play a few exhibition games to both whittle down the roster and get the veterans some reps before the NHL faceoff. But, as we all know, while the calendar says September and we feel like it might be March 212th or Mid-June for all we know because the Stanley Cup Final is being played, we won’t be getting any Boston Bruins hockey any time soon.
With the Final looking to wrap up before the end of the month, the NHL Draft will be the first weekend of October. The start of the new NHL league year and free agency is likely to start at noon EST on Friday, October 9th.
That’s all a lot of words to say that I don’t have much to report about today. However, I do have possibly the most important thing that you will see today: the 37 best photos of number 37, Patrice Bergeron. Well, the best of the past season. Just click the link!
Start the week off right.

He may be number 37 on your roster but we all know that he is number 1 in our hearts.
Morning all. Interesting article yesterday on ESPN.com about what it’s been like in the playoff bubbles.

A good read about what the players were sold on versus the reality of living in the bubble.
Nice story. I love the ‘fly fishing in the mountains’ teaser – surely this was just a stock photo that the NHL foolishly left in the package, but damn that’s cold.
Hi!
Bergy!!! If you are having a bad day….. check out some Bergy photos!!! Your day will improve.
Game three of the Finals tonight. Swing game! Dallas showed some resilience in game two.. Let’s see if they can swing that momentum… Go Dobby!!
Change of plans. No Monrovia until Friday. Looks like summer makes a comeback at the end of the week!!! Yay!!
Definitely glad it’s going to warm up this weekend because I’m going to an outside, socially distant fundraiser for the preschool my friend works at. Wasn’t really looking forward to it with the temps we’ve been having!
Wrap up warm, hip flask of brandy, all sorted!
I hope it warms up. I want to turn on the stove in the basement, but I’ve gotta do a cleaning first before I start making it too hot to touch! I sprained my hand packing away a ton of pellet fuel and am eager to reap the fruits of my labor but first things first.
Also have a nomadic pile of clutter in front of it which must be disposed of.
Hmmm…
