Question: How many more injuries on the defense can the Bruins sustain? Answer: None, none more injuries. The good news is that the Bruins will start getting guys back soon. The bad news is that one of the injured will be out for a few weeks.
Jeremy Lauzon fractured his left hand in Sunday’s game against the Flyers. As a result, he has had surgery and will be out for at least 4 weeks, at which point his injury will be evaluated. Urho Vaakanainen will take on the left side of the top pairing for at least tonight’s game.
Kevan Miller was reported to have had a maintenance day last week, then was held out for “load management”. It has come out that his knee isn’t feeling right. He did not travel with the team yesterday to New York.
Cassidy: Kevan Miller will not travel today with the team.
His knee wasn't feeling great after skating yesterday.

On the bright side, Matt Grzelcyk traveled with the team. It’s uncertain when he will be cleared to play, but it could be any of the 3 road games coming up this weekend.
Cassidy: Matt Grzelcyk "is close" to a return. He will travel with the team.

Jakub Zboril has returned to regular practice and traveled with the team. It looks like he could be back in tonight.
Jakub Zboril is practicing in a white jersey. Was in non-contact maroon yesterday.

If Zboril can make it, it looks like he could be laying with either Connor Clifton or Steven Kampfer.

I’ll take one or two D men back tonight.
The Bruins will play against the Islanders at Nassau tonight at 7pm.
This injury to Lauzon explains why Urho was skating with McAvoy. I guess Lauzon only skated for 1 shift in Tahoe.
I see the Habs have fired Clode. Thought they were doing quite well.
Yeah that surprised me as well. I guess they lost 6 of their last 8 including back to back losses vs the Sens.
Still, eight games seems a pretty small sample to sack the coach. No idea how they’ve been playing in general, tbf. Maybe he does deserve it. I hear Price hasn’t been having a great year.
Hi folks,
It would be nice to get a win on the Island.
well that doesn’t sound good for Miller. What happened to Lauzon’s hand?
I wonder when Greg McKegg will make his debut
Nassau has been a fortress for those guys.
Good Windy Morning!
Between the warm weather and my lust for fire, it got pretty hot in our place last night! No baking this morning!!
It will be Interesting to see what Vaaky can do. Top pairing. A little test for our young D corps. I noticed that Moore is better with more playing time. Kampfer will bring a veteran presence and a familiar face for the young ‘uns. Should be fun!!!
Pretty windy here too! Wednesday afternoons Leah’s school lets out early and they are supposed to do something non-screen related. So yesterday we went kite flying! Very relaxing. Just the one string, so you can’t control it – just watch it float up and flit about.
With one string you can get a kite way up there!!!
Scene from the Stripes residence last night:
I thought Vaak seemed to struggle just a little on the top pairing, but Charlie made up for it. We’ll see what he looks like with another game under his belt, and a more complete opposing top line. I’ve been waiting for some real exposure for the kid – should be fun.
