Game Day Thread: Devils @ Bruins

The Bruins are at home, hosting the visiting New Jersey Devils at TD Garden on NESN.

Last time in Bruins Hockey…

Bruins hosted the Caps and…

Brad Marchand would score first on a great shift from the whole 63-37-88 line.

Then… Stuff happened.

Late into the 1st period, recurring shitbag Tom Wilson made a high hit on Brandon Carlo, resulting in a hospital trip for the D-man. Wilson would receive no in-game penalty – at least not until Jared Tinordi picked a fight with him and the two spent 5 minutes a piece in the box.

The Bruins would go on a scoring spree with him off the ice,
Trent Frederic:

Bergeron:

Marchand:

Oh, and Trent Frederic did his other thing, too.

Wilson did receive a 7 game suspension for boarding from DOPS.

The Caps pulled goaltender Vitek Vanacek, but it didn’t stop the bleeding. Nick Ritchie would put the Bruins up 5-0

Jakub Vrana – the crossczechinator – would spoil the shutout.

Bruins would proceed to win the game 5-1

The Bruins are now at 13-5-3, for 3rd in the MassMutual East division, 5 points behind the Isles and 1 points behind the Caps, yet leading the division with a points percentage of .690.

What will be the lines today?
The lines should be slightly different than usual.

Brandon Carlo is not yet on IR, but will definitely miss some games, with concussion-like symptoms.

Forward Ondrej Kase, and defensemen Jeremy Lauzon & Kevan Miller are still on IR.
David Krejci and Matt Grzelcyk are both back after being out with a lower body injuries.
Jarred Tinordi should play again tonight, and Urho Vaakanainen will rotate back in.

Sean Kuraly is a scratch once again.

Tuukka will be in net.
