The Bruins continue their home stand, in front of a limited live studio audience, hosting the New Jersey Devils, again, and it too shall be broadcast on NESN.
I’m sure you’re all excited.

Last time in Bruins Hockey…

The Bruins hosted the New Jersey Devils.
They won more faceoffs, and made more shots, so naturally, they lost by 1 goal. And we have to watch them play these assholes again tonight.

The Bruins are now at 17-9-5 which still has them at 4th in the MassMutual East division by victory points, 9 points behind the Isles and Caps, and also 4rd in the division with a points percentage of .629.

What will be the lines today?

The lines are getting back to normal.

On the COVID protocol front, Brad Marchand, Sean Kuraly & Jake DeBrusk had not been cleared to play for Sunday’s game. Assistant Coach Kevin Dean was also away due to COVID exposure.

It has been determined that Marchand’s COVID test had been a false positive, so he will return to the lineup.

The Injury Report has been busy. Ondrej Kaše, and Kevan Miller are all skating. John Moore had hip surgery last Monday and will be out all summer. Brandon Carlo has been practicing.

Carlo and Lauzon will play tonight in their usual pairings.

Karson Kuhlman and Anton Blidh will be in the lineup in the place of Wags & Kuraly. A bunch of players were sent toi the taxi squad in what appears to be a paper transaction.

Tuukka Rask has been out all weekend. Jaroslav Halak will get the start for the second game in a row, backed up by Dan Vladař.

Today’s opponent are the New Jersey Devils. The Devils are near the bottom of the division at 13-16-4, with a points percentage below .500. However, that does not indicate smooth sailing for the Bruins. Far from it.
This will be the 5th meeting between these teams this season, with the Devils winning 4 of 5, only losing the one in OT. The Devils have lost 3 of their last 7 games.
Forward Nathan Bastiann is on IR with a lower body injury, and Nico Hischier has been out with a facial fracture and concussion symptoms.
