Congratulations! You made it to Friday, the day of the week that ends the workweek (typically) and commences the weekend. It was a long week and I’m proud of you for getting through it.
Instead of normal Bruins fare, which has all but dried up since they were knocked out of the playoffs a few weeks back, I thought I’d share this moment that the Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin shared with his young daughter, Emersyn, taking one timers like a pro. In her princess shoes no less!
Jaccob Slavin's daughter is all about the one timers. 👏

Emmy’s only 2 years old and she’s got a better shot than I do for sure. I look forward to her being drafted first overall in 2037 in the NHL Draft.
Happy Friday!
Morning all. Emmy’s a cutie.
Busy weekend ahead, dinner with some friends tonight then going up to my folks for dinner tomorrow night!! Yay for vaccinations!!
I’m still waiting for that second date!
Pfizer playing hard to get!
Ugh. Gotta get that. Apparently the variant that’s currently running around GB just DGAF about a single vaccination (Indian/Delta variant). Missouri & Texas getting hit with it now because they didn’t vax.
And it’s worse there because they breathe through their mouths there.
Apparently someone in Australia caught it by walking past an infected person in the street. Hopefully that’s not true, otherwise we’re f#$@ed.
Morning!
I was watching a cricket match on TV last night (until it was rained off), and Leah was most annoyed there were no women in either team. One day maybe.
After Sis’s tale of the truck stuck under the covered bridge the other day, I have to share this from this morning, about 15mins drive from my house. I dont know which is worse!

Oh yikes! I think yours may be worse in terms of traffic. Here you just had to go the long way round until the bridge was open again.
And good on Leah! Smart kid you got there!
Reminds me of the time a drunk Quebecois truck driver slammed into a truss on the Tobin bridge, closing it. They kept his lane blocked off for a few days while they dealt with the damage he did. The Tobin was really the only practical way to get into Boston from the north at the time (Zakim wasn’t open yet), so it was a big deal.
Then a couple of weeks later, another drunk Canadian truck driver rammed into something else in the area – also on a bridge I think.
I get that Boston is far enough from Montreal for a driver to be tired, but geez, no drinky-drinky before getting in that truck, guys!
Some people just take the rivalry too far!
Heard inside the cab of the vehicle:
“Olé olé-olé-oléee. Olé. Olé.” *CRUNCH*
