Morning Free Association: Some Happier News

This week has been pretty much a bummer here at B2B so how about we lighten the mood with some frivolous, happy news?

Charlie Coyle is off the market. This weekend he proposed to his longtime girlfriend Danielle Hooper in Nantucket.

It was only a matter of time since they now have two puppies. I mean, really just make it official, guys!

Congratulations to the happy couple!

So Jo just came back from Wal-Mart in Bennington, VT where she saw a woman and her goat.. shopping.

Eh, it makes sense. I mean, if it were a cat, that would be surprising – they’re too snobby for Walmart — they’ll hold out for Macy’s — but goats won’t put on airs like that.

Moring all. Been watching The Get Down on Netflix. Came out awhile ago but just recently popped up in my recommendations. I mostly like it though it can get a bit over the top because it is a Baz Luhrmann project. But it has made me have disco and old school hip hop bop around in my head so that’s always a good thing!

Was watching old Mario Bava horror & sci fi flicks recently. Such a trip with that classic 1960s “we are ridiculous but take ourselves way too seriously” vibe.

Morning all,

Congrats to the happy couple. This could be a really big year for Charlie, eh?

Another negative test for me this morning. Leah still showing positive. It’s a good advert for the vax I guess – surely I’ve been exposed to the virus by now. This is day six since Leah’s first positive test.

Leah has been saying for a while that she wants to learn to play the drums, so I got her a set of digital drums. It’s not one of those that looks like a real drum kit. It’s a box about the size of an 80s VCR machine with seven pads you hit with real drumsticks, plus two pedals. A good way to get the feel of playing real drums but taking up a fraction the space.

She’s taken to it pretty well, though I doubt the neighbours are impressed- it’s not as quiet as I thought it would be! She’s learning Seven Nation Army – I know that’s a favourite among you guys!

Ha, you might need to treat your neighbors to some dinner! lol But awesome for Leah! And you two can start a band!

And I saw England is in the midst of a crisis with no milkshakes at McDonalds. Hope everyone gets through this okay! grin

Yes! I dont much like them myself but my dad will not be pleased. Although, it will give him an excuse to practise one of his favourite hobbies – going to eateries and asking for things they clearly dont have!

Seven Nation Army, huh? Your next step is My Sharona
Then it’s a simple step to some Santana classics.

Just get her a copy of Abaraxas – I’m sure she’ll figure it out. twisted

Ooh, My Sharona is a great shout! I wonder if she’s familiar with it.

Good morning!
Better news! Yay! Charlie’s pups are about as cute as can be, so cute! Charlie and Danielle make a pretty good looking couple, as well.
Get ready for a couple hot days. Take me to the river!
More work first. Bathing in the river was a bit chilly last night. Keeping the shower work moving forward!

Yes, get that shower plumbed in – river doesnt sound like a long-term fix!

We had no water the other night. Luckily it was back next morning. The water pipes round here are ancient.
