Yesterday Boston said goodbye to Jimmy Hayes as he was laid to rest in Dorchester.
Along the funeral route, many people lined the street to pay their respects. Among them was Dorchester Youth Hockey, a group that was near and dear to the former Bruins player.
PK Subban also came to town to pay his respects as well as several Philadelphia Flyers players to support their teammate, Kevin Hayes.
Several Flyers, including Claude Giroux, were at the Jimmy Hayes memorial service Sunday in support of Kevin Hayes.

Kevin is heartbroken because Jimmy was not only his big brother but his only brother. And it’s clear that he meant the world to him.

I’m barely an hour into my workday and I literally need a fucking tranquilizer.
I don’t think i could handle your job…. even if i knew something about it!
Hi folks.
What a sad business, at least they gave him a good send off.
Sonia is on her way back – in the air right now! Back to work tomorrow for both of us. D’oh! Next door have also been away, but they came back this morning, with the puppy, so Leah is excited.
So good!
Good morning!
No doubt Jimmy Hayes was a great guy. Sometimes you just know. Sad that people want to speculate about his death. I don’t care why unless it will save someone else from the same fate. My favorite rumor, though, if I am allowed to enjoy these things, is the one that says he died from the vaccine… Really? Anyway, cheers, Jimmy. I think I would have enjoyed a couple cold brews with you.
Big e-paperwork day yesterday as Jo tried to get us moved on paper. She did the dreaded computer stuff, I did the necessary phone calls as my telephone charm is irresistible! (I use the phrase “are you fucking kidding me?” a lot). Moving forward!
BTW, the black cherry syrup was phenomenal!! Added a small amount of honey and a lil lemon juice, that’s it. Going back for more cherries before the birds get them
Ah, the stress and expense of moving! Brings back such memories!
