Yesterday former Bruin and two time Stanley Cup Champion Fred Stanfield passed away at the age of 77.

Stanfield was dealt to the Bruins in 1967 in the same trade that brought Phil Esposito and Ken Hodge to the Black and Gold. He centered Johnny Bucyk and Pie McKenzie and scored at least 20 goals in each of his 6 seasons in Boston before being traded to the North Stars in 1973.

Ah nice, enjoy. Think a pub lunch is on the agenda on Sunday but only after a countryside walk …

Morning all,

That 1967 trade must’ve been something. What did the Bs give up?

We’re trialling a new working pattern which today sees me doing 9-5 for the first time in about 25 years! Leah sees herself to school these days, though, which frees up a surprising amount of time in the mornings.

Martin played 1,100 games, 324 goals, 485 assists. Marotte played 808 NHL games and was known as a heavy 5’9″ 205 lbs! Norris was a goalie. He bounced around a lot, mostly minor leagues

Good morning!
Aww, it’s always sad t see former players pass. I guess it hints of our own mortality. Still, prayers and thoughts .
Better fishing last night. Lots of action. No keepers. Great evening.
We’re driving to Newport today to visit fam.

Have seen a few folks from the sports & entertainment world pass recently. It seems to happen in waves.

In a less serious incident, just last night I saw a TV commercial starring Doug Flutie, and noticed he was starting to look old (imagine that, a 60-yr-old doesn’t look as spry as he did when he was 21), and I felt it.

Man, the picture of Flutie that came up when I searched his name on Bing (I know, I know) has serious “Hey you kids get offa my lawn” vibes.
