First, I want to take the time to thank all those who wished Boomer well with words, pats, and scritches. He was feeling more like himself by early afternoon and even took the time to bark and stomp around on the leaves on the porch before dinner.
Now on to the main stuff: the Oilers are in town to take on the Bruins tonight. In fact, they were situated and in town yesterday to skate at Warrior. Usually the visiting team skates at the Garden but the arena was set up for the Celtics game last night and there was no ice available there. Conor Ryan caught some of the skate focusing on one player in particular.
This guy might have a pretty bright future in this league. pic.twitter.com/UpprehwI3T

Nick Foligno is looking to get back in the lineup tonight. He joked about making them put him in. At this point, Bruce Cassidy is not sure where to put him.

Cassidy isn’t sure where Foligno will slot back in the lineup. He could earn a look with Charlie Coyle and Taylor Hall.

Anton Blidh, who’s been out with an undisclosed UBI might also return to the ice. Trent Frederic will be out and Jack Studnicka has returned to Providence.
Edmonton is atop the Pacific with a record of 9-2-0 after being dropped by the Red Wings. They come to the Garden to play the Bruins on Colby Cave Night, when both teams in their first meeting since 2020 will honor their shared forward who died from a brain hemorrhage in April 2020. The Bruins 50/50 raffle through 11/16 will benefit the Colby Cave Foundation. His widow Emily will be there as well.
As the #Oilers & Bruins get set to face each other for the first time since February 2020, it will be an extra special meeting between the two @NHL clubs that Colby Cave suited up for.
Tomorrow's game in Boston is for Colby. 🧡💙https://t.co/2PtpgNKrM9

I cheered for Colb when he played first NHL game & many others at the Garden. Tomorrow night, roles are reversed. Colb is going to have the best seats, cheering me & his brothers on from Heaven. Front row view, beaming with pride, with his big famous smile. We love & miss you. pic.twitter.com/l7Y5WlcUpa

Tonight’s game is at 7pm.
Morning all. Nice morning out there today!
Here too. I’ve taken the cover back off the garden bench!
Morning all,
Glad Boomer is feeling better.
Bruins have had trouble performing for the full 60 minutes – they will need to tonight. Should be a good tilt.
We won our darts match last night. A very poor-quality game that lasted an hour longer than last week’s, but the pub was excellent. To get there I had to cross Tower Bridge – one of London’s most iconic landmarks but one I’ve never walked across before. So that was nice.
A Canadian guy on holiday strolled over to watch our game, so it was nice to chat to him. He was from Calgary.
A longer match at an excellent pub? Sounds like a win all around, regardless of the match quality!
The Tower Bridge, eh? I don’t understand London well enough to know what’s on the opposite side (other than the Tower). But on our one few days into London, GH & I did walk across it. Very pretty.
Lit up at night the bridge looks really good.
The north side is not far from the financial district, and on the south side … not a lot really! It’s a bit to the East of where things are. The bridge is about 800 years younger than the Tower itself, but was designed to look like they belong together.
I loved walking over the Tower Bridge. We ended up in teh fancy section with all the glassy buildings
I can’t wait for Spatzelzilla 2 where Spatelzilla wreaks havoc on London landmarks.
Sounds like fun! That Calgary guy might want to watch the game tonight. He’d root for the Bruins!
Cave seemed like such a good dude. I’m sure this will be a nice little tribute.
Cave did seem like a great guy. And that smile!
Good morning!
Somehow i missed that Boomer wasn’t well. Glad he’s back on track!
I have watched some Oiler’s hockey this season. McDavid is something to see. Draisaitl is really coming into his own. They finally have some D. Bruins better bring their A game!
Still puttering away in the house. Sheetrock and mud… i guess i’m better at it, but it takes me forever. Just finishing some closets. Also been working some metal magic… stainless counters and zinc on the bar top. Something i can actually do!
