If you were watching Sunday’s game, early in the first period you would have seen Brad Marchand take down Vancouver’s Oliver Ekman-Larsson in the one of the many battles the two endured on the ice that night. When I first saw it, I thought he would get called for a slewfoot but when Jack and Brick said it was a good hit and no one called it, I went on with my life and thought about it no more. Well, the NHL Department of Player Safety had an issue because they suspended Brad Marchand for three games.

If you’re puzzled about this, just remember that he has a reputation even though he hasn’t even been fined by NHLDoPS since January 2018.
That’s because his name is Brad Marchand. That’s literally it. https://t.co/DqvZ9HWBJD

Anyway, this week’s games became increasingly less watchable going forward. Who will the Bruins face when Brad returns to the lineup? The Canucks in Vancouver. Smashing.
Okay, this is late breaking news of a sort, since it came out late in the afternoon as I’m writing this: Jake DeBrusk has asked for a trade.
Spoke with Rick Valette today, agent for Jake DeBrusk, he confirmed he asked for a trade over the weekend. It's felt a change of scenery moving forward would be beneficial. Debrusk will remain with the team while the Bruins try and facilitate the request.

News is coming out that he had requested a trade months ago but was willing to give it a go. I guess the Bruins getting Taylor Hall kind of sealed his fate with the team and he’d like to go elsewhere to be higher up in the lineup.
More on DeBrusk: I'm told he's wanted a move for quite some time, Bruins have been aware for months. Things escalated over the weekend. Doesn't sound like a trade is imminent, but the attempt has been heightened.

I guess Jake doesn’t think that sitting is beneficial. And it probably isn’t if he wants out.
Well, in a line that will make no sense until tomorrow, I guess the Bruins are kind of exciting for the wrong reasons.
