This weekend, the Bruins held off the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 after a late penalty taken caused them to end the game on the kill. Thankfully the Jets were 0% on the power play with 4 chances. With this win, the Bruins 8-2 in their last 10 and are 3 points behind the Toronto Maple Leafs and safely in the Wild Card 1 position. If the B’s can hold onto that playoff slot, they can avoid the meat grinder of the Atlantic Division in the playoffs. Still, those days are a ways off.
Tonight the Bruins play their last home game for a week when they welcome the Anaheim Ducks. These Ducks are not the team that we’ve seen in the last few years. After a period of rebuilding, the team is second in the Pacific division just 3 points behind Vegas. Of course, VGK has 3 games in hand and the division looks a bit weak but Anaheim has some potent scoring coming from All-Star Troy Terry and former Boston University Terrier Trevor Zegras. However, Terry hasn’t played since January 14th since he was placed in COVID protocol.
Take a look at Trevor Zegras.

Also, I love a guy who can poke fun at himself.

The Ducks are in that stage where they’re beginning to see results but it’s kind of hard to tell what kind of team they are. One thing they aren’t is a good road team at 7-9-3. But, this team can take others to overtime and the shootout, which is not something the B’s should entertain.
Should be a fun game.
