Yep, the Anaheim Ducks came to play. Yes, they had Troy Terry back from COVID and he scored. So did a guy who hadn’t had a goal in 44 games. The Bruins lost, 5-3.
I don’t really feel like talking about it since I was in and out during the game getting the stuff done that would allow me to relish in the most sacred of nighttime rituals, Pajama Time. Pajama Time involves showering then pajama-ing, and often cozying up with a comfy blanket.
Fun fact: I always thought that the literal translation for the German Katzenjammer was “cats in pajamas”. Turns out the colloquial definition is “hangover” and the literal is “cat’s lament”.
Anyway, Pajama Time did not improve the Bruins play. Tuukka was not having a good night.
Bruce Cassidy on Tuukka Rask: "He's not where he needs to be."
Thinks he needs about eight starts to get right.

Oskar Steen boarded Nicolas Deslauriers, who left the game. Nick Foligno, who was playing 4LW, fought Sam Carrick and later left the game with an UBI. Ducks’ blueliner Josh Mahura collided with the post and had to be helped off the ice after writhing in pain.

Bruins goals: Pasta, Hall, Haula. Not enough.
Next game is in Colorado late into the night on Wednesday.
Tuukka usually starts out slow and has a rough October. This is his October.
Wasn’t prepared for snow last night. Yuck.
But it cleaned up fairly well, and one of our neighbors eventually came by to plow out the worst bits.
Got stuck on a series of 3 time-consuming issues at work – from the moment I got in in the morning through puck drop. Didn’t even get much of a bathroom break.
Arrrgh.
GH & I are writing off tomorrow’s game as a scheduled loss. They’ve fared poorly against Colorado in recent seasons and the Avs are one of the best teams in their conference.
Let Tuukka get pummelled by pucks. Baptism by fire, and all that.
Yeah, I was thinking along those lines. Accept it’s a likely loss and just use it as an intensive training session for Tuuk.
IT’s Ullmark tomorrow night. Should be Tuukka though.
Morning all. Had a dream last night the radio station had a secret spot in the attic (there is actually no attic at the station) where other programmers sneak off to and bake cookies.
Mmmmm … Attic cookies
Funny part is there actually is a kitchen adjacent to the studio for the market downstairs. They don’t even need to go to the pretend attic!
Morning all,
Oh well can’t win them all. Colorado next. I wonder what kind of form they’re in …
… oh dear (11-0-1 in last 12)
Good morning!
Oh well. Chalk it up as an exhibition game for Tuukka. He’s generally a slow starter. He should start tracking the puck better after a few games.
More snowshoeing yesterday. We doubled our mile and still felt pretty good when we finished. Added another couple inches of snow last night. May go again today.
Yeah, Tuukka showed flashes of his ability – I thought he looked very rusty rather than outright bad.
You told us to keep an eye on Getzlaf!
Colorado has one or two players to watch out for, as well….
