Yesterday we talked about a few events for tonight’s skills competition. Yesterday Patrice Bergeron was also given his task and it’s not nearly as exciting as I had hoped.
The Captain has his assignment. 🎯

It turns out that Bergeron is slated for the accuracy shooting, the boring old breaking the target in each corner. Bergy has competed in this one before and not won it. His teammate and sometime liney, David Pastrnak has. Bergy will compete with others who have also not won this event: Sebastian Aho (Canes), Rasmus Dahlin (Sabres), Leon Draisaitl (Oilers), Johnny Gaudreau (Flames), Jake Guentzel (Penguins), Clayton Keller (Coyotes), Jonathan Marchessault (Golden Knights), and Troy Terry (Ducks).
The Fountain Faceoff will feature Jordan Eberle (Kraken), Claude Giroux (Flyers), Jonathan Huberdeau (Panthers), Roman Josi (Predators), Mark Stone (Golden Knights), Nick Suzuki (Habs), and Zach Werenski (Blue Jackets).
The event will also feature Olympic Gold Winner Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson.
21 in 22 will feature Nazem Kadri (Avalanche), Auston Matthews (Maple Leafs), Joe Pavelski (Stars), Steven Stamkos (Lightning),and Brady Tkachuk (Senators).
So, it’s not super exciting but maybe the old-timer can out shoot the whippersnappers.
So apparently Brianna Decker’s injury form yesterday is going to keep her out of the rest of the olympics. That may be a difference maker if they get to a gold medal round.
Yeah she didn’t look in very good shape after that. It was just an awkward landing. Very unlucky
Just read up on that… no bueno
Morning all. It’s definitely weather out there.
So weathery!
Hello from Newport!
I’m pupsitting this weekend and headed down before the bad weather set it. Gus, a Golden doodle, was 3 months old when I last saw him. He is now 11 months old and much, much bigger. He and I are pals.
I just found out as the world did that Captain Cook’s Endeavour met it’s end in Newport Harbor during the Revolutionary War.
Ahhh, they’ve been looking for it for about 20 years!
Enjoy the dogsitting.
Is that where it was?
I told you to look under the seat cushions!
Good morning!
Losing track of the days of the week…. weekend neighbors showed up on Thursday. Now I am confused.
Watched a replay of Kraken vs Isles yesterday. How did the Isles fall so far so fast? They were challenging Tampa in the ECF last year. No playoffs for them this year.
I guess we are having an ice storm today. I will assume that is true. Not going out.
How did the Isles fall so far so fast?
Who is quoting whom? Hmmm
Whoa!
