As we all know by now, the Bruins have had quite a few injuries crop up this week to key players. David Pastrnak and Trent Frederic fell during the Columbus Blue Jackets game. The next night, Hampus Lindholm was lost to an unspecified lower body injury, believed to be a leg injury.
To be honest, not much news has been released about any of these players. David Pastrnak has an undisclosed injury for which he is listed day-to-day on CapFriendly’s players status page for the Bruins. It’s believed that he has a core injury and that it cropped up again. Trent Frederic is out for an unknown period of time with an UBI. Lindholm is not even listed on the page.
According to Bruce Cassidy, he believed that it wasn’t a serious injury but that he would know after further evaluation.
“I don’t know,” Cassidy said, as seen on team-provided video. “It’s a lower-body. He left the game, didn’t come back. When you don’t come back there’s usually going to be an X-ray or an MRI. He seemed OK in there, so I don’t think it’s serious. But obviously when you don’t come back, then you don’t know until you get better information.”
There’s been no further news.
The Bruins had yesterday off as a travel day and have today to prepare for the Lightning game on Friday night. That game will determine third place in the Atlantic.
