In the penultimate game of the regular season the Boston Bruins face off against the Buffalo Sabres. I know you’re all very excited about this. At least tonight we get to find out who was voted the Seventh Player.
Bruce Cassidy is promising a full squad tonight with Linus Ullmark in net against his former team.
As for who will be the starting goaltender for the playoffs, Cassidy hasn’t made a determination, choosing to announce sometime after Friday night’s game at Toronto.
On Tuesday, Boston clinched the Wild Card 1 slot and will likely play Carolina in the first round; I say likely because there is a small chance that they could match up against Toronto. Cassidy said that the video team has been preparing for both. Carolina won the Metropolitan Division on Tuesday night after beating the Rags 4-3. The Canes have a slight goalie issue in that Frederik Andersen is week-to-week with an undisclosed injury leaving Antti Raanta as the de facto starter. Raanta was also out for a period of time in the last week with his own injury.
Anyway, the Bruins have 2 more games and a weekend off from playing before the playoffs start.
Tonights game will be on NESN at 7pm.
Anyone doing a bracket?
I’ve registered! Do you need the links?
No. Thanks. I have the linjs.
TBH, I’m not sure I’m going to watch either of these last two games because my brain has been in the playoffs for a couple of weeks. And with the seeding virtually locked up, there isn’t much to play for. I mean, I guess I want to see who wins Seventh Player but after that it might be time to play catch up with all the TV we’ve been putting off and finish the book I’m reading.
Morning all. Friends of mine never took down the Christmas wreath from their front door. Now they can’t take it down because a robin has nested there and has three little eggs she’s taking care of.
Ha! Fantastic.
Sonia likes to make a wreath for each season. We have a spring one at the moment. It used to have easter eggs (not chocolate ones!) on it, but not now. Not sure whether she removed them or the wind did!
Aw, baby birds.
We have a phoebe nest under our porch, on top of the light. Two years ago, they lost their egg. Last year they had at least one little bird that survived. I don’t know if they’re back but I suspect they are.
They got home from the Bahamas around one in the morning and got startled by a bird flying in their faces as they tried to open the front door. They use the side door now.
Good morning,
I would bet the house that Ullmark starts in the playoffs. The Eastern Conference is a minefield. No easy way through. I really would like to see Toronto vs Tampa in the first round. Caps and Florida also promises to be a gem….. not that i’m excited about the playoffs.
Our name came up in the lottery today…. the carpenter is coming to work! I probably shouldn’t say anything until he’s here.
Jo headed out to have the snow tires removed. I painted some wheels, we put the summer tires on… change out is easy!
I’d go Ullmark. Sway at his best probably a bit better but Linus more reliable.
Summer tyres, eh? Wasn’t it still snowing there last week?!
It’s winter temps here this morning! Even Nugget gave up and went back to her spot in front of the heater.
We have the season of wind over here in the “eastern” part of the state. It was windy for a few days, then a few days of peace , now back to wind for the foreseeable future.
