Well, it looks like the Stanley Cup Final matchup has been chosen.
After stealing a game on the road during Game 5, Tampa closed the deal in Game 6, winning 2-1.
Alas, there was no Game 7 at MSG. Apparently there was some controversy as to how that would have worked – a Justin Bieber concert was going to be displaced by the game, but it appears that concert wasn’t going o happen anyway – the Biebs has Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome and is cancelling shows because half his face is temporarily paralyzed.
Now your Stanley Cup Final Matchup is Tampa Bay Lightning vs Colorado Avalanche, starting on Wednesday night. I was hoping to see someone other than Tampa come out of the east, but I don’t always get what I want, now do I?
Anyway, GH had the morning off so I’m just here keeping the lights on.
Went fishing with a buddy Saturday. He caught a pike, a couple bass, and several pickerel… i had a nibble… that is all.
Morning folks,
Have only been keeping one eye on the hockey since the Bs exit, but I’ve had to do a preview (which is here if you’re interested) and it looks a pretty interesting final. I think Tampa have a great chance. Would prefer to see the Avs take it, though.
Woke up early this morning, but as it was sunny instead of going back to sleep I decided to wander to the fishponds to check on the unconventional goose family. Also saw six very young ducklings. Super peaceful start to the day!
Nice article! Thanks for posting the link.
Sounds like a great way to start the week!
Morning all. Enjoying a day off and the quiet before they start working again on the floor upstairs.
Had a nice birthday mini golf outing with SatanParents yesterday followed by a strawberry rhubarb pie made with SatanDad’s homegrown SatanRhubarb. (And we are not very good at mini golf.)
Oooh, strawberry and rhubarb – superb! We have loads of homegrown strawberries, but only one has turned red so far!
I need to put rhubarb in the garden! Looks like we will have loads of strawberries… if the chipmunks let us get any. Black raspberries are first, though.
I love strawberry rhubarb!!!
Mini golf is always fun!
We have to battle slugs and snails for ours!
I have to wrap my tomato cages in bird netting all the way to the ground to protect my larger tomatoes from critters. It’s so disappointing on the plants that aren’t very prolific to lose 2/3 of the few fruits that ripen. I *think* it’s chipmunks doing it, but it could also be particularly industrious birds.
Happy Birthday!
Good morning,
Tampa rolls on. They may steal game 1 as the Avs will have had an eight day layoff. We saw what that did to the Lightning last round. Also, Brayden Point may be back by game 1, but definitely back at some Point. How did that guy slip to the third round in 2014?
Much excitement today, although Maddie and Co won’t be here until late evening. Gives me one more day to eliminate construction debris from the yard…. i swear disposal of debris is seventy per cent of time spent renovating.
2014 was a pretty deep draft still, seventy ninth overall?
Boston drafted well that year! This is quite a rabbit hole!
Wow! With only three picks in the first six rounds they did very well!
I believe that. I’ve still got piles of stuff I need to dispose of from rebuilding my steps.
