The Bruins appeared to have the day off yesterday aside from optional skates and some community work that Trent Frederic was doing, so there isn’t much to report. I feel like we all agree and know the whole terrible front office ordeal and don’t really need to explore it further unless we talk about who should totally be fired. So let’s look at happy things instead, shall we?

But really, the most important development from yesterday came from Sis’s Favorite Player Derek Forbort and his sweet girl Darla.

Derek Forbort doesn’t post much on Instagram so this is like a public service announcement because he knew we all needed good and wholesome content.
If you want to know how Derek feels about his and Darla’s popularity, you can find it here.

“You get home and she doesn’t really care how you’re playing. She’s always going to be happy you’re there, no matter what.”

Good girl, Darla!
Me: “I’d like 10 minutes to chill”

My dog, my job, the universe:
The great thing about retirement.. i still work a lot, but when i need to chill, i chill.
Morning all.
I taught SatanDog to high give. Though it’s actually a high ten because she decided that was more fun. Basically what I’m saying is Sis & Forbort 4 Eva!
Awww, now i’m missing Huffy, the little Norfolk terrier we used to dogsit. He was really our dog and did a lot of tricks, including the high five. We hear that he’s still alive, blind as a bat, but great company to the Mrs. I still keep in touch with the family i worked for for so long…. now living in Newton/Watertown.
Woody does shaking hands (paws) rather than high fives – he’s an English dog, you know!
He didnt enjoy his walk on Sunday in the pouring rain – he ran around the field, dragging me along, desperateto get it over with!
It was also the final straw for my walking boots, so I’ve been to get some new ones today!
Good morning,
Lots of hockey last night. Islanders are hot. The Devils are even hotter. Vegas is on fire… although it would have been nice if they took out the Leafs in regulation.
I gotta say, if Derek and Darla can’t put a smile on your face, you may need a heart.
Big windows in our new room. Coffee by the fire watching the gozillion birds in the backyard.
A nice mix of species?
We don’t get many feathered visitors since both our trees blew down, but even before it was mostly fat pigeons after the elder berries!
Winter flocks here are mixed. Chickadees, cardinals, nuthatches (three varieties here), blue jays, titmice, mourning doves, goldfinches, juncos, sparrows, golden crowned kinglets, woodpeckers… sometimes european starlings.. pretty sure i’m leaving a couple out. Mostly they get along. There are 25 to thirty birds out there right now.
