This weekend was the All Star Weekend and while other Bruins players were enjoying times on the beach in Turks and Caicos, David Pastrnak, Linus Ullmark, and head coach Jim Montgomery were down in south Florida representing the league-leading Bruins. They won the games part of the celebration and split the prize 12 ways.

Every goal Pasta scored (all of 2 I think) was five-hole.
The one for good measure. 🍝 pic.twitter.com/0IQhWmQpMA

While I understand why people may not like this weekend and the friviolity of it all, I used to enjoy the various skills challenges like puck handling obstacle courses and one-time run-throughs of other events. This year they made the accuracy challenge much more difficult than it needed to be and everything felt less organic in nature. It was all a dumb jumbled mess.
On Friday night Pasta was robbed after his breakaway challenge when Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin used the latter’s child in a 3-on-1 against Roberto Luongo. Kids will always get 10s across the board. Pasta had a whole Happy Gilmore bit with the help of his good buddy Linus Ullmark as his caddy.

Linus Ullmark got an apple during the games portion and even held a shutout in the final game until Andrei Vasilevskiy blew it.

Anyway, they’re off for a vacation.
Next Bruins game is on Saturday at 3:30 pm.

Wow! At first i thought he’d been in some sort of accident, then I realized the sleeves on his legs were probably just to enhance blood flow or some such.
Hockey is bad for hips and knees!
Morning all.
Looooooooooooove Ullmark’s All Star goalie pads.
On Mondays, we wear bongo!
The marble pattern on the pads is pretty cool. It gives “ice” imagery better than just the blue.
The goalie gear was outa sight! So, what happens to that gear now? Hopefully auctioned off for charity, but i know a couple goalies that would love that stuff!
Good morning,
Had zero to do with hockey this weekend. Spent Friday night and Saturday trying to feed the fire fast enough to keep us warm
http://www.pecand.com/25-animal-gifs-that-will-warm-your-cold-dead-heart/
Jigsaw puzzles and a little tv filled the rest. Plenty warm today (relatively).
No games until Saturday? Are the Olympics happening? Probably a long break will be good for these guys. The undefeated at home pressure is gone.. consecutive losses are by the board… time to refocus on solid hockey and let the chips fall where they may.
We’ve got those strange conditions where if you can find a patch of sun out of the wind it’s really warm, but the air itself is chilly. Mild days and freezing nights for us the next few days. In Slovakia they’ve got more snow than they can cope with – and they’re used to a lot! Hopefully that eases off in the next few days.
We watched the ASW stuff. It was mostly fun if dumb.
Had tix to both of the Pride games this weekend, but blew them off & I watched from home. Saturday was way too cold* to drive 45 minutes in to Boston, only to spend the next few hours in a relatively cold ice rink then hop back into the arctic blast for another 45 min.
We didn’t even take Boomer for a walk.
Sunday I blew off going in because it was a matinee and I needed more decompression.
(When Boomer first got up to go outside that morning, I checked the thermometer, and it was -13°F. Yeah, screw that noise!)
Boomer needs to learn to use the toilet when it’s that cold!
Morning all.
Fairly busy weekend, so I ended up not seeing any of ASG weekend. No game until Saturday, eh? I didn’t realise they had such a long break. It’ll do them good, I’m sure. Hey, I’ll be in Slovakia then!
Yesterday the girls went to see the live tour of our version of Dancing With the Stars. Leah loved it. It was her first time in a big arena – the O2 in London, which has a capacity of 20,000, so similar to TD Garden. I had a wander round historic Greenwich – an old naval town and home to the “zero” time meridian.
Went into one pub and there was a guy wearing a Leafs jersey and Leafs baseball cap. I didn’t talk to him – he was twice my size!

No need to talk to that guy. He would just say “this is our year”…. whaddayasay to that?
I saw a tweet this morning asking about the most annoying fanbase – the replies were overwhelmingly calling out Toronto. Also, there is this:
Every fanbase thinks every other fanbase is annoying. We’re all annoying.
In the @HockeyTomorrow thread, I noticed that literally every reply who called out the Oilers fanbase was a Flames fan.
I feel like both the Bruins & Flyers fans got off light in that thread – though at least the B’s represent in the JFresh graph.
Yeah, I definitely won’t be reading the comments on that one. Fanbases whining about other fanbases makes me want to bang my head against the wall.
Brilliant!
I hope your Slovakia trip goes well!
I’d give you a toast in Slovakian, but I don’t have the slightest idea of what that would be!
Haha. Na Zdravie!
Na Zdravie!
Pronounced phonetically, i presume.
