Congratulations! You’ve made it to the end of this hockey-less week. And good news, the Bruins are back on the ice at Warrior, well all except for Jake DeBrusk.
🎥Coach Montgomery on Jake DeBrusk: "His flight got canceled yesterday, he had to fly this morning. He couldn’t get here in time [for practice]…he got his last imaging and we didn’t think he was going to be ready for Saturday. We’re hoping either Dallas or Nashville." pic.twitter.com/s2ghxvkm6O

Jakub Lauko was recalled from Providence in his stead.

In other news: the big move of the day was what the Rangers pulled off, trading for Vladimir Tarasenko.
TO NYC HE TARASENK-GOES! 🗽

And the Blues are retaining half of Tarasenko’s cap hit.
Morning all.
Though I wouldn’t recommend parachuting in Waitsfield today.
Wow. Retained salary. I guess if you throw enough stuff into the deal, you can get that. I’m surprised Tarasenko was sent to the All-Star weekend. He does not appear to be having a particularly good year – still scoring at 3/4 point per game, but not the best on his team and not competing with Pasta, like we were being sold when he was first being dangled out there a few years ago. (Frankly, DeBrusk has been more effective this season than Tarasenko, though this season feels like an anomaly for much of the team)
Man, I’m gonna have to read the CBA again. Trying to understand LTIR calculations on CapFriendly is hurting my brain.
The Blues can reain some salary as it’s only for the remainder of the season. ROR gets moved next!
Good morning,
Yay! Friday! Late start as i talked to my brother until 1:30 or so. Hmm, sun!
Yup, Rags made a big splash yesterday. I dunno… there’s only one puck. The Rangers will be a tough out in the playoffs.
