Last night the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars played an excellent, low scoring game in a preview of what could be in June. Both teams are leading their conferences and have excellent goaltending in Jake Oettinger (DAL) and Linus Ullmark (BOS). And each team’s flashy scorers did their thing.
The Bruins actually started on time and like they had a fire within. The Bruins drew first blood more than midway through the first period with a goal by Taylor Hall.
What. A. Pass.

That lead wouldn’t last long. Roope Hintz with some help from phenom Jason Robertson and old guy Joe Pavelski would tie the game.

In the second period, Jason Robertson scored his 34th on the season to take the lead.

Halfway through the third, Brandon Carlo moved through the offensive zone and passed the puck over to Zacha who sends it home.

The two teams ended regulation tied. In overtime, 32 seconds in Brad Marchand is called for interference on Tyler Seguin. With Carlo and Forbort on the ice and either Coyle or Bergeron at center, the B’s kill the penalty off. During their power play, Dallas called a time out which gave Forlo a chance to catch their collective breath. Once the penalty was over, Marchy came back on the ice and the two teams played 4-on-4 for the rest of the game since they had no stoppage in play. The game would last for 72 seconds because Pasta.

Yes, he had the game winner (his 39th goal) and the only Bruins shot in OT, getting the two points
Linus Ullmark turned away 29 of 31 shots including 6 shots in OT. Neither team scored in their power play opportunities. But the amazing thing is that the Bruins had a collective 19% faceoff win percentage and managed to dominate the team through parts of the game, especially the third period.

Morning.
Busy day so only caught the highlights. I hadn’t realised the Stars were such a good team this year. Nice performance.
One thing I wasnt expecting from a February Slovakia trip was sunburn, but my face is very red right now!
The sun on the snow! Double whammy
Morning all.
Got home from work and one of the coffee shop regulars had dropped off some valentines socks and chocolate. Then later on in the evening my across the street friends Bejay and Melanie brought over some valentines cookies. Such love!
That is enormously cool.
Lovely!
(It’s bringing love – don’t let it get away. Break its legs!)
Sweet!
Good morning,
Woo hoo! The boys looked like they were back on track last night. I want to hang out with the siblings! Hopefully, they keep things going in Nashville. Maybe they could leave Craig Smith in Nashville. Just pretend he is still a Pred.
Heading into the 50s today! We will head to Bennington for a round of disc golf!
Surprised your not heading out on the river with this summer weather!
Haven’t been in a boat in ages! Soon!
Lat night was the game we fans needed to see after the last couple of weeks. The Bruins got started on time, and scored first, and scored last.
Fast pace, no brain-dead penalties, dangerous opponent. Good stuff.
Lots of Bruin fans, too
