MFA: Game 81

In the penultimate game of the regular season, the Boston Bruins will face off against the Washington Capitals. The Capitals are coming into Boston winners after thumping the New York Islanders 5-2 last night.

Normally I would use this space to talk about the game but seeing as this is a meaningless one, the only thing I’m really interested in is seeing the Bruins give up the shirts off their backs and to see who the Seventh Player is.

Should the Bruins win this game or the next, they will break the single season standings points record of 132 set by the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens. That’s great an all but I want a healthy team for the playoffs, which start on Monday April 17th.

By the way, bracket challenge leagues are a go:

Morning all,

rest the guys. Never mind the points record – they only played 80 games that year anyway.

Brackets signed up. Amazing we still only know one matchup for certain!

I see the Canes have had a wobble. It’s quite feasible they could end up third in their division!

Oh yeah, I’d been subconsciously ignoring the rags, They’ve really closed the gap.

Good morning,
I have joined the bracket leagues. Maybe i won’t be toast after the first round, like i usually am.
Can the Bruins rest everyone tonight? The Caps have a bad habit of hurting players.
Another beautiful day is unfolding. Got lots to do. Guapo likes hanging outside. He can usually entertain himself. There will be a very dirty dog heading the Charlestown tomorrow.

All the snow gone now, from your yard?

Yes! All the snow is finally gone from our yard. Was shocked to see a few people still snowmobiling up in the higher elevations (above 2,000 ft). I can still see snow on our trail across the river. I think it will all be going away this weekend..
