So, this game starts at 7:30pm because of The Night You Love to Hate™ “Rivalry Night on NBCSNPDQASAPOMGWTFBBQ”. Yes, this is such a natural rivalry, this Penguins and Bruins matchup. Is it like Fashion Police where we’ll ask each other who wore it better? I mean C’MON both teams wear versions of black and gold, with only one being the true Black & Gold™.
Anyway, the Bruins hope to sweep the last game of the intraconference series against the Penguins at home at the TD Garden tonight. Both teams are vying for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with each sitting in the Wild Card (Bruins in 7th, Penguins in 8th) with only two points separating them. So, this game is actually pretty important. The Bruins are a disappointing 12-15-3 at home which isn’t encouraging expectations of a win tonight. Then again, it’s the Penguins who the B’s seem to know how to handle.
Bingo not once but twice.
The NHL Trade Deadline is
looming over. What’s going to happen to Loui? We still have Loui. Will we be seeing some new faces in Bruins uniforms? We have Stempniak and Liles now.
Well, here’s a handy tracker/ catharsis thread that we’ll keep up on the front page until some time next week. The deadline is 3PM on Monday.
This article is “sticky”, and will remain atop the front page until the trade deadline expires. Look beneath it for new articles.
Wow, I did not expect that to happen.

Welcome to the inaugural Game Recap here on Bobby to Bergy!
I’m afraid we used up all of our excitement on that first line alone. It’s too bad because some of us were excited to see a certain Preds defenseman, with that excitement quickly fading as both teams appeared to be trying their best snake charmer routine to mesmerize the spectators into not caring at all about the game.
So, who cringed when they saw that Weber slapper hit Tuukka in the shoulder within the first three minutes of play? This girl did.
It’s frustrating to see the Bruins have good zone time and then let the Preds in. Also frustrating to see that Krug shot sail across the goal mouth. C’mon guys, you can figure Rinne out!
Also, as much as I love Seids, I saw him on the ice way too much. You know what that means, TOO MUCH KEVAN.
Let’s hope that they forget that the first period is over and capitalize on that Power Play.
C’mon boys, let’s do this.
The Bruins (31-20-6, 68) continue their roadtrip at Bridgestone Arena against the Nashville Predators (26-21-10, 62) tonight. The Bruins are still 3rd in the Atlantic while the Predators are struggling at 5th in the highly competitive Central Division.
But that’s not what I want to talk about. I would rather that we focus on…the points leaders for each team. Of course, Perfect Patrice leads all Bruins players with 48 points. On the opposing side we have Roman Josi leading all Preds players with 42 points. Not bad for a defenseman.
