Morning Free Association: Storm Purge

Truth be told, I didn’t watch this whole game; I only watched the last 3 or 4 minutes of the second period and the entirety of the third. Why? Because at 6 pm I needed to rest my eyes for…about 2.5 hours. So, yeah, sounds like I didn’t miss much. Continue reading

Morning Free Association: The Haves and the Habs Nots

This team, they just keep doing it. They start off slow. They play a game of speed without really finding their game. When they finally strike in the final period, it’s lethal. The Boston Bruins just keep winning.

Currently riding a 6-game win streak and an 11-game point streak, this team looks beatable with their slow starts and pile of bodies on the injured pile, including one Patrice Bergeron. However slowly they begin, they just keep going. It wasn’t any different Sunday night. Continue reading

Morning Free Association: Montreal Atypical

Last night the Boston Bruins played what might have been their most complete game this season and the Montreal Canadiens turned up toothless. Sure, the Habs led in shots on goal 37-24. However, the Bruins made the most of their 24 shots by scoring on a third of them, resulting in a win for this team of injury-plagued, rag-tag misfits. Okay, maybe that’s a bit much. At that point, the Sabres led in shots on goal 14-1. Continue reading

Last night the Bruins somehow snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Up by 4 goals in the second period, the middle frame being the one they most often play poorly, they looked to finally be back on track. It was at this time when I turned to Satan81 and stated that the last time I had personally been in attendance for a Bruins loss was earlier in the calendar year when the Habs defeated them. That also was the day when I cracked my tooth, leading to a year full of dental appointments to fix the situation. But, I digress. Continue reading

Morning Free Association: Underwhelmed

This morning I could give you a long description of last night’s game, however, as the Bruins looked disinterested in playing hockey through much of the game, I’m going to show as much enthusiasm in describing the game. Maybe I, too, have forgotten how to write, what letters are, and that they form these things called words. Yeah, that’s what I’m going with. Maybe a description of the game by gif. Continue reading
