Sis hates cake and the Bruins hate winning.
The good: Kevan Miller scored his fifth goal of the season
The not so good: Alex Killorn tied it up with a power play goal. Then Callahan put Tampa up 2-1 after McQuaid fell down and went boom.
Let’s not hit people in the head or fall down anymore. Bad things happen.
It’s Trade Deadline Eve. Don’t forget to leave milk and cookies out for Santa Sweeney and be sure to keep the Trade Tracker bookmarked.
As for the task at hand:
It’s a battle for second place tonight as the Bruins take on The Tampa Bay Lightning. Both teams are 6-4-0 in their last ten games. The Lighting are riding a 5 game win streak with Stamkos scoring in those five games. Bruins are hoping to improve on their 13-15-3 home record while Tampa has gone 15-12-2 on the road.
What’s on tap?
For the first time since 2006, the Bruins decided to have a father-son road trip. Even the crunchiest curmudgeon who doesn’t care about off-ice stuff (that would be me) couldn’t deny that it was adorable. Luckily, all the parents and grandparents present were able to see a Bruins win (because it was a road game, obviously).
The second period wasn’t catastrophic. That was nice, I guess.
