You know what that sound means, kids. That’s right, it’s a manatee game and the Bruins apparently had their coffee and beat the Islanders in a very important game to sit alone in first place (for now) by the score of 3-1.
David Pastrnak doing what he does best.
Well, it seems like Period 1B was about to strike again but it seems like the Bruins forgot what period they were in and where they were and what time is was and now find themselves up by a goal (thanks, Pasta!) headed into the final period.
Can they build upon their lead? I sure as hell hope so!
OK, so that’s Halak right there in an awkward position, and we all know that as he’s out for about six weeks, Greiss is going to be the one starting in net today. Right now I’m banking on our Fine Finnish Friend, Tuukka Rask (sorry Kemp) getting the start in net for Boston.

Good morning, everyone! The view from the top looks nice! Alas, we lost in OT, but the point puts us at the top of the standings. Tampa Bay will likely catch us with their games in hand, but it’s nice to have a quick peek from the top!
Detroit beat Winnipeg 3-2, giving them a little bit of room on the Flyers. The Panthers quota’ed the Senators 6-2, with Jagr scoring two goals.
PK Subban suffered an accidental neck injury and was taken off the ice on a stretcher last night. Best of luck to him, and here’s hoping for a healthy return.
Tonight, Tampa Bay hosts Philly in the only game that matters to us, and tomorrow we host the Islanders. What’s on tap?
A nice dose of HINGA DINGA DURGEN, that got cancelled out by a goal scored by one of the few skaters in the league shorter than Marshy and Krug.
Dammit Ackbar, you are a fucking prophet
(this was one of the hits when I googled ‘prophetic cephalopod’, so…. yeah)
