Good morning, everyone! Big game tonight with Looch’s return to Boston with the Kings. He wrote a nice letter to Boston for The Players’ Tribune, which is well worth the read.

If the Bruins are looking for defensive help at the trade deadline, options appear to be thinning. Jonas Brodin and Matt Dumba had been mentioned in trade rumors, but with Brodin out 3-6 weeks with a broken foot, the Wild are less likely to trade a d-man for offensive help. Kevin Shattenkirk of the Blues has been rumored to be on the trading block, but with Alex Pietrangelo now out for at least three weeks, the Blues’ attempts to get Jonathan Drouin or *cough* other offensive help *cough* may be on hold. We can also put the arguments about trading for Dustin Byfuglien to rest as he just signed a big extension with the Jets.

What’s on tap?

Game Thread: Sabres at Bruins

So I think this picture is the only example I can think of where double-teaming might be fair, if not still pretty damn stupid.

How goes it, kids? The Bruins and Sabres are playing their fourth and final game against each other tonight, with the Bruins winning two of the past three games and I refuse to remember the score from that other one.

Here’s something that phoneymahoney posted earlier that really bears repeating:

That’s some pretty fucking sweet company right there. Let’s see what Spooner does tonight.
