The BobbyToBergy.com community is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
Please review our [Code of Conduct] for our definition of harassment.
If you are being harassed by a member of the BobbyToBergy community, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the BobbyToBergy Anti-Abuse Team using the contact form below.
If the person who is harassing you is on the team, they will recuse themselves from handling your incident. We will respond as promptly as we can.
Please do not reach out to the Anti-Abuse Team via their private email addresses or social media accounts. If your report does not come through the communications channel we mentioned above, we cannot guarantee that it will be seen and addressed.
This code of conduct applies to BobbyToBergy.com sponsored spaces, but if you are being harassed by a member of our community outside our spaces, we still want to know about it. We will take all good-faith reports of harassment by BobbyToBergy.com members, especially bloggers, seriously. This includes harassment outside our spaces. The abuse team reserves the right to exclude people from the BobbyToBergy community based on their past behavior, including behavior outside BobbyToBergy spaces and behavior towards people who are not in the BobbyToBergy community.
The BobbyToBergy community prioritizes marginalized people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort. The BobbyToBergy Anti-Abuse Team will not act on complaints regarding:
Reasonable communication of boundaries, such as “leave me alone,” “go away,” or “I’m not discussing this with you.”
Refusal to explain or debate concepts outside the scope of hockey, including but not limited to: politics, religion, social justice.
Communicating in a ‘tone’ you don’t find congenial.
In order to protect volunteers from abuse and burnout, we reserve the right to reject any report we believe to have been made in bad faith. The BobbyToBergy Anti-Abuse Team is not here to explain basic social etiquette to you. Reports intended to silence legitimate criticism may be deleted without response.
We will respect confidentiality requests for the purpose of protecting victims of abuse. At our discretion, we may publicly name a person about whom we’ve received harassment complaints, or privately warn third parties about them, if we believe that doing so will increase the safety of BobbyToBergy members or the general public. We will not name harassment victims without their affirmative consent.
