Morning Free Association: That Was Something

Did you watch last night’s game? It was the first preseason game on TNT and it showed. From a lack of studio show to start, to interruptions in the broadcast, one functional camera that had the top of the screen cut off and playing at the bottom, to Rick Tocchets microphone just plain not working for the first few minutes of the first intermission show, it was a bit of a rough watch. Morning Free Association: Craig Smith, Big History Guy

It’s way too hot to think right now being in the middle of the latest mini heatwave that’s hit us here in the MetroWest. Even with our AC running, it’s 84F/ 29C in our living room right at this moment. I tried to calculate that in my head from Fahrenheit to Celsius like I usually do but it’s too frickin hot to do that. I’m going to be great in the Apocalypse.

Morning Free Association: Bruins Win in OT

The title sums it up. Unfortunately, I’m not the one to give any analysis on the game since I’m stupidly tired. The game lasted 3 hours even with the extra period but I’m trying this new thing called “waking up early” followed by “going to the gym”, all of which makes me feel wiped out by 10pm. Actually, by gametime; I almost fell asleep tucking in Boomer. Plus, seeing My Boyest of Boys get knocked out of the game early in the third kind of took me out of the game. Continue reading

Morning Free Association: How Many Overtimes?

Right now as I write this, the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals are heading for double overtime for the first time in this series. Each of these first three games has needed extra time for a team to win it; the first only 4 minutes or so, the second under a minute, this 20+ minutes. I know this game started just after 6:30pm but BRUINS I’M TIRED.
